The European Commission has approved Belgium's state aid mechanism for a 700 MW Wind Farm auction in the Princess Elisabeth Zone, set for 28 October 2024. This marks Belgium's first Offshore Wind Auction, aiming for operational status by 2028. The project will help Belgium achieve 100% Green Electricity by 2030 and involves mandatory citizen participation.
