The Estonian government has approved a draft bill granting the first building permit for an Offshore Wind farm to Saare Wind Energy. The 1.4 GW project, off Saaremaa’s west coast, will feature up to 100 turbines and could begin generating power in the early 2030s. A 50-year superficies permit allows infrastructure development.
