ENGIE Invest €4 billion for 5 GW Renewables Projects in India

ENGIE plans to invest up to €4 billion in India to significantly expand its renewable energy portfolio, targeting around 5 GW of installed capacity by 2030. The company aims to add nearly 1 GW of renewable capacity annually, focusing on solar, hybrid, and energy storage projects. ENGIE is also exploring entry into the wind sector through the repowering of older wind turbines, particularly in Tamil Nadu, enabled by new regulations that allow higher power output from modern turbines.
