The European Investment Bank (EIB) has provided a €500 million green loan to Iberdrola for the 315MW Windanker Offshore Wind farm in the German Baltic Sea, guaranteed by Spanish export credit agency Cesce. Supplying renewable electricity to 600,000 people annually, the project deploys 21 Siemens Gamesa turbines and is set for full commissioning by Q4 2026.
