Egypt’s $873 million Green Ammonia Project Moves Forward in Development

Pre-FEED studies for the marine jetty and hydrogen plant have been completed for Egypt’s $873 million green ammonia project in New Damietta, with FEED work ongoing. The project is being developed by Scatec, Egyptian Petrochemicals Holding Company, and Misr Fertilisers Production Company. Scheduled for 2028, it will produce 150,000 tpa using renewable energy and green hydrogen, with financing, approvals, and offtake agreements progressing steadily.
