The Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC) is inviting developers to build a 1 GW wind farm in West Sohag under an IPP, BOO model. Supported by EBRD and managed with Synergy Consulting, proposals are due by March 1, 2026. The project aims to help Egypt achieve 42% renewable energy by 2030 and 65% by 2040, complementing existing large-scale wind farms like Zaafarana, Amunet, and Gulf of Suez Wind Farm II.
