URECA, a Mongolian climate tech startup, is piloting its Coal-to-Solar Initiative to help low-income households switch from coal stoves to solar energy. Supported by the EBRD’s Star Venture programme and EU funding, the project reduces carbon emissions, improves air quality in Ulaanbaatar, and enables communities to access carbon finance.
