Denmark will provide a loan of DKK 7.4 billion (USD 1.02 billion/EUR 992 million) and operating subsidies of up to DKK 8.3 billion to support the construction of a hydrogen pipeline from Esbjerg to the German border, aiming to have it operational by 2030. The project, led by Danish grid operator Energinet in collaboration with the German unit of Gasunie, initially covers the pipeline to the German border with future phases extending to Lille Torup and Fredericia.
