The Delhi government plans to add 7,000 EV charging points and 1,268 battery swapping stations in 2026, aiming to curb pollution. With current infrastructure insufficient—8,849 chargers against a required 36,150—the expansion will bring total charging points above 16,000. The Delhi Metro and Regional Rapid Transit System will also increase chargers.
