The U.S. Department of Energy’s NREL and CubicPV have achieved a certified 24.0% efficiency for a perovskite mini solar module, setting a U.S. record. This surpasses the previous 23.9% benchmark and builds on earlier NREL-CubicPV collaborations. The module features high voltage and fill factor due to strong defect passivation.
