The Sri Lankan government is currently negotiating with India's Adani Group to lower the cost of power from two wind energy projects in the northern province. The aim is to reduce the price to around $0.06 per kWh, down from the initially proposed $0.08 per kWh. This follows allegations against Adani executives of involvement in bribery schemes, which Adani has denied.
