Coal India Limited (CIL) has commissioned 200 MW of its 300 MW Solar Power Project at Khavda, Gujarat, marking a significant step in its renewable energy expansion strategy. The commissioning certificate was issued by the Gujarat Energy Development Agency (GEDA) on 15 July 2026. The project supports CIL’s efforts to diversify beyond coal and strengthen its clean energy portfolio.
