Coal India Limited has commenced commercial operations of 200 MW solar capacity at Khavda, Gujarat, effective August 8, 2026. The commissioned capacity forms part of the company’s larger 300 MW solar project in Gujarat. The development marks a significant step in Coal India’s renewable energy expansion and diversification beyond coal mining and conventional power activities.
