The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs approved two hydropower projects in Arunachal Pradesh, investing Rs 3,689 crore. The 186 MW Tato-I and 240 MW Heo will enhance the state's power supply and balance the national grid. Joint ventures between NEEPCO and the state with budgetary support will implement them and the state will benefit from free power, better infrastructure, and development.
