CCEA Approves INR 2,980 Crore Scheme for Coal and Lignite Exploration

The CCEA approved the "Exploration of Coal and Lignite Scheme" with an expense of INR 2,980 crore for the period 2021-22 to 2023-26, aligned with the 15th Financial Commission cycle. The scheme aims to conduct regional and detailed exploration for coal and lignite mining in non-CIL blocks. It will cover approximately 1,300 km² for regional exploration and 650 km² for detailed exploration.
