CATL and NIO have signed a five-year strategic partnership to jointly develop long-life batteries and battery swapping technologies. They will share network resources, promote battery swapping standards, and collaborate on battery leasing and open industry ecosystems. CATL aims to expand its battery swapping stations from 1,325 to over 3,000 in China by 2026.
