Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL) has partnered with Forbes Marshall to implement hydrogen gas injection technology in its blast furnace-1. This pilot initiative, under the National Green Hydrogen Mission, makes BSL the first SAIL plant to use hydrogen as a cleaner reducing agent. By partially replacing carbon-intensive fuels like coal, the project aims to significantly cut carbon emissions in steel manufacturing.
