BPDB to Develop 442 MW Solar Project, Boosting Renewable Energy Near Rampal Coal Plant

The Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB) plans to develop a 442 MW solar plant near the 1.32 GW Rampal coal power station in Bagerhat District, Khulna. The $200 million project, spanning approximately 685 acres, will be partly funded by BPDB (15%) with the remainder from the government’s Power Development Fund.
