Bosch has commissioned its first self-operated hydrogen electrolyzer at Bamberg, featuring two PEM stacks totaling 2.5 MW. The in-house Hybrion system produces EU-compliant green hydrogen, enabling 23 kg per hour and more than one ton per day at full load. FEST GmbH assembled the unit. Bosch will also operate its Fuel Cell Power Module in a “lifetime container” to test durability, with electricity feeding back into the electrolyzer, simulating multiple operating scenarios for closed-loop performance validation.
