This $6.5 million single-location battery test pilot, is being funded by a $3.2 million Department of Energy ENERGISE grant, $3.3 million from ComEd and additional amounts from project partners, according to an email from ComEd. The battery energy storage system is being used to enhance the impact of solar panels on the power grid and support clean energy growth in Illinois.
