Belgium awarded contracts for 350 MW of new Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Projects through its 2024 Capacity Remuneration Mechanism (CRM). Engie’s 100MW Kallo BESS was among the winners, alongside 12 other large-scale Projects from developers like Storm and Giga Storage. This brings Belgium's total BESS capacity under CRM to 1.
