Axpo and independent power producer Zelestra have signed a 10-year toll agreement for a 207 MW/830 MWh BESS project in Friuli-Venezia Giulia, northern Italy. Under the deal, Axpo will optimise battery dispatch in electricity markets, providing fixed revenues to Zelestra and supporting project financing.
