The Australian government has approved Windlab’s 800MW Prairie wind farm in Queensland, set to feature 116 turbines. Located in Flinders Shire, 340 km from Townsville, the project is part of the North Queensland Super Hub. It will be built on cleared cattle land with environmental protections, including limits on land clearing.
