Assam has approved the Thermal Power Generation Promotion Policy 2025, targeting ₹7,730 crore investment to become a regional power hub. With power demand projected to reach 5,000 MW by 2032, rising 1,000 MW annually, the state will offer free land, water, roads, and equity of up to 27% in projects.
