AMDA Developments will construct South Africa’s largest permitted wind farm, the 1GW Carissa Wind Energy Facility near Beaufort West, featuring 154 turbines. The project received environmental authorisation (EA) from the Department of Forestry, Fisheries, and the Environment, following a thorough assessment by Blue Crane Environmental under Strategic Infrastructure Project (SIP) status.
