Amara Raja Energy and Mobility will invest an additional ₹1,200 crore by FY27, bringing total investment in its lithium-ion cell project to ₹2,400 crore. The 1 GWh gigafactory, part of a ₹9,500 crore plan in Telangana, targets 16 GWh capacity by 2030. Initial focus will be on NMC 21700 cells for two-wheelers.
