Amara Raja Energy & Mobility expects its Made-in-India EV battery cells to command a premium despite initially costing more than Chinese alternatives. The company is launching its first 2170 cylindrical battery cell for electric two-wheelers, drones, and power tools, while developing indigenous battery technology after a planned Chinese technology partnership was discontinued.
