Altilium, a UK clean tech company, plans a £30 million investment to build a new EV Battery recycling facility in Plymouth, supporting the UK’s Net-Zero goals. The plant will process batteries from 24,000 EVs annually, recovering lithium, nickel, and cobalt. Scheduled for commissioning in late 2026, it uses proprietary EcoCathode™ technology to supply critical materials domestically, reducing imports and emissions while fostering local green job growth and economic development.
