US Wind Power Generation Drops Despite Installation Surge

Sungrow expands in African market, signing with South African distributors Herholdt’s and ARB. Lower wind speeds cause first drop in US wind power generation in 25 years, despite 6.2GW capacity added in 2023. Wind capacity in US triples since 2010 to 147.5GW by 2023, but utilisation falls to 33.5%. Engie to acquire French onshore wind business from Ørsted.
