India's 'National Repowering & Life Extension Policy for Wind Power Projects - 2023' aims to boost efficiency by replacing pre-2000 turbines with upgraded models. This addresses outdated technology in India's growing wind power capacity, which reached 44.29 GW by October 2023, prompting a 2016 policy revision by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy.
