NTPC and Indian Army to Develop Hydrogen Based Microgrid in Ladakh

NTPC has joined hands with Indian army to develop a Solar Hydrogen-based Microgrid in Ladakh for off-grid army locations using Hydrogen as an energy storage medium to supply 200kW of round-the -clock power throughout the year replacing the current diesel based gensets ensuring a sustainable power supply despite harsh winter conditions of Ladakh. NTPC will maintain the project for 25 years.
