Nepal to Export Electricity to Bangladesh via India
Nepal, India, and Bangladesh will sign a historic power trading agreement on July 28. Nepal will export 40 MW of electricity to Bangladesh via India, marking its first sale to a third country. The deal involves the NEA, BPDB, and NVVN, with Nepal receiving $0.064 per unit and an estimated Rs 330 million annually. The agreement runs from June 15 to November 15 each year.
