MNRE Releases Draft Guidelines for Rooftop Solar Scheme

The MNRE has released draft Guidelines for the ₹75,000 crore ‘PM Surya Ghar—Muft Bijli Yojana’ Rooftop Solar scheme, offering two models: RESCO and ULA. These guidelines aim to support Rooftop Solar installations across India with central financial assistance, inviting public comments by September 17. The scheme targets 10 million families and includes a ₹100 crore payment security mechanism.
