Japan's Toyo Solar Plans 2 GW Solar Module Plant in US
Japan-based Toyo Solar will establish a 2 GW Solar Module plant in the US, with future plans to add Cell and Wafer manufacturing. The company aims to raise $100 million and expects a 70% return on investment in the first year, leveraging US Inflation Reduction Act incentives. Production of modules is set for mid-2025, with cells by early 2026. The timeline for a wafer facility is yet to be set.
