Germany's VNG and HyCC Partners for 500MW Green Hydrogen Project

German gas company VNG, in partnership with HyCC has announced plans for a 500MW green hydrogen project near the Piesteritz Chemical Park. The project “GreenRoot”, aims to produce green hydrogen using renewable electricity and supply it to local industries supporting Germany's decarbonization efforts. The project is scheduled to start operations by 2029, pending a final investment decision in 2026
