BP and Jera to invest $5.8 Billion in Offshore Wind Joint Venture

British giant BP Plc and Japan’s biggest power producer Jera Co. have decided to launch a 50/50 joint venture and merge their Offshore Wind businesses to invest up to $5.8 Billion before 2030. The joint entity, Jera Nex bp will be based in London and reduce BP’s financial exposure in the sector as it invested heavily in the Offshore Wind and will first focus on existing projects in the pipeline.
