Yokogawa Electric has bagged orders from Kawasaki Heavy Industries to supply integrated automation systems for a 40,000-cubic-metre liquefied hydrogen carrier, the world's largest of its type, and two hydrogen-fuelled vessels. The carrier's system will provide integrated monitoring, control and emergency shutdown for safe handling of liquefied hydrogen at extremely low temperatures, improving performance and reducing crew workload.
