Waaree Energies Ltd, a Gujarat-based solar manufacturer, has invested ₹300 crore in its subsidiary, Waaree Energy Storage Solutions Pvt Ltd (WESSPL), via a rights issue. Incorporated in 2020, WESSPL aims to set up a 3.5 GWh lithium-ion battery cell manufacturing facility, expected to be operational by 2026–27.
