VOC Chidambaranar Port is driving green energy initiatives, becoming India’s first major port to exceed 1 MW rooftop solar capacity, alongside 5 MW of ground solar and 2 MW of wind power. It has completed a pilot green hydrogen project, using renewable-powered electrolysis for streetlights and EV charging.
