The Uttarakhand cabinet approved the Green Hydrogen Policy 2026 to boost clean energy, industrial growth, and employment using hydropower. Groundwater extraction charges were introduced for non-agricultural users, with mandatory registration and zonal rates. Cabinet sanctioned inter-district transfers for health workers, transfer of Chinyalisaur and Gauchar airstrips to defence, streamlined land acquisition for projects, and sub-leasing of Prag Farm land for industrial use.
