Uttar Pradesh has surpassed Maharashtra to become India’s second-largest state in residential rooftop solar installations under the PM Surya Ghar scheme, with 6.74 lakh systems installed. The state has achieved around 2.28 GW rooftop solar capacity, enabling households to save approximately ₹6.
