The JV of Ford Motor and South Korean battery maker SK has been granted a loan of USD 9.63 billion by U.S. Energy Department on Monday for the construction of three new battery manufacturing plants in Tennessee and Kentucky. The plant is expected to enable more than 120 GWh of U.S. battery production annually and this is the largest ever amount from the ATVM loan program by the U.
