UJ Researchers Pioneer Efficient Green Hydrogen Production Method

A new simulation by the University of Johannesburg shows that Sorption-Enhanced Chemical Looping Gasification (SECLG) can convert sugarcane waste (bagasse) into green hydrogen more efficiently than traditional methods. The SECLG process yields 62–69% hydrogen with minimal tar and carbon emissions, significantly reducing purification and operational costs.
