Tokyo-based Solar company Toyo has begun production at its new 2 GW Solar factory in Hawassa, Ethiopia, with plans to deliver over 80 MW of cells by the end of April. The facility will reach full capacity by May or June, producing 150-200 MW monthly. Initially backed by a $60 million investment, Toyo plans to expand capacity to 4 GW due to strong market demand.
