Thermax , Ankur Scientific to Set Up India’s First Green Methanol Plant at Deendayal Port Authority

Thermax Limited has partnered with Ankur Scientific to set up India’s first green methanol plant at Deendayal Port Authority. The facility will produce 18,000 tonnes annually using biomass, targeting the maritime sector’s rising demand. With high purity and EU-compliant standards, the project supports cleaner marine fuels, reduces fossil fuel dependence, and aligns with India’s decarbonisation goals and sustainable shipping initiatives.
