TGDISCOMs have petitioned the Telangana Electricity Regulatory Commission to approve the procurement of 200 MW of Solar Power from NLC India Limited under the CPSU Scheme Phase-II Tranche-III. The agreement, signed in August 2024, sets a tariff of ₹2.57 per unit. The move aims to meet rising energy demand, fulfill Renewable Power Purchase Obligation (RPPO) targets, and secure stable, affordable power for Telangana, with the plant expected to begin operations by February 2026.
