The Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) plans to establish a Solar Energy plant at Sabarimala with technical support from Cochin International Airport Limited (CIAL), the world’s first fully Solar-Powered airport. CIAL will assist in preparing the project report and provide consultancy at no cost. Funded by CSR contributions, the Solar Plant aims to reduce TDB's annual electricity expenses of Rs 15 crore.
