Tax Changes Threaten US Solar Industry Growth

The U.S. solar manufacturing sector surged in Q1 2025, adding 8.6 GW of capacity with new factories in Texas, Ohio, Arizona, and South Carolina, contributing to 82% of new grid capacity. However, proposed House legislation threatens this growth by revising federal tax incentives, risking 330,000 jobs, factory closures, $286 billion in investments, and $51 billion in higher electricity costs.
