Tata Power Renewable Energy Ltd (TPREL) has signed a 12-year battery energy storage purchase agreement with NHPC Ltd to develop a 30 MW/120 MWh system in Kerala. This project, secured through NHPC’s BESS Tranche-I tender, will support Kerala's grid with on-demand energy storage, aiding peak demand and renewable integration.
