Tamil Nadu is set to tender 500MW of Offshore Wind Energy by March 2025 but lags behind Gujarat in Offshore initiatives due to delays in infrastructure and under-sea cables. Despite challenges, TN’s coastal Wind speeds are ideal for Offshore Generation. The state aims to leverage existing manufacturing capabilities and Tangedco’s infrastructure for a Renewable-powered future.
